If you are looking for SONAR, you have come to the right place. We explain what SONAR is and point you to the official download.

What is SONAR?

The SONAR programs compose a series of software from Twelve Tone Systems that is geared towards music production through record, edit, and mix functions. The latest iterations are called SONAR X3 and come in three versions: SONAR X3, SONAR X3 STUDIO and SONAR X3 PRODUCER, in ascending order of pricing and feature inclusion. All 3 versions support virtual instrumentation, effects, and 64-bit engines. They also share support for VST3, social network product sharing (through Facebook, YouTube, SoundCloud, and Twitter) and cloud storage for saving work through Gobbler.

All 3 editions also allow users to enhance their musical production environment with tools such as the Session Drummer and a built-in guitar amp simulator, but only the Studio and Producer editions let users produce music with the help of bundled tools for reverb and other effects, pitch correction, and Linear Phase Mastering plug-ins. Users with the premium Producer edition also get ProChannel Quad Curve EQ Zoom and Analyzer software as well as the complete version of XLN Audio Addictive Drums bundled in their program package.

The SONAR series of programs all use the developer’s Starlight interface, which has won accolades for its intuitive design.
