John Paul Chacha's Chasys Draw IES raw – Photo is a component of the Chasys Draw IES Suite. The Chasys Draw IES raw – Photo application is a tool that allows the user to capture raw image files from a digital camera, an image scanner or a film scanner used in digital filmmaking. The raw images are called as such, because they have not, yet, been processed and rendered in a digital image format. This means that the images are not, yet, ready for printing or editing.
The application also allows the user to manipulate the elements of the image, i.e. white balance, contrast, saturation and sharpness before saving it as a CD5 file. CD5 is the only supported output format for the digital rendering of a raw photo. Once the file has been saved as a CD5 file, it can then be exported to Chasys IES Draw Artist for editing; from here, the file can be saved as a JPEG file. The user may also utilize the Chasys Draw IES Converter to convert the CD5
