What is Axialis IconWorkshop?
Axialis IconWorkshop is a program that basically allows the user to manage their desktop icons. Published by Axialis Software, Axialis IconWorkshop provides the user with selected tools for editing and creating icons.
Any type of icon stored on the computer, whether these are on the desktop, a file/folder browser or on toolbars of user interfaces, can be edited by the software. Entire Image Strips may also be edited or created. The software also functions as a bitmap image editor, enabling users to modify image bitmaps or create bitmap images for various applications or for use on Web pages.
Image formats supported by the software include BMP, for Windows Bitmap Image; PNG, for Portable Network Graphic; JPEG, for Joint Photographic Experts Group; GIF, for graphics Interchange Format; PSD, for Photoshop Document; TGA, for TARGA Images; and XPM, for X11 Pixmap Images. Portable bitmaps and TIFF images are likewise supported by the software.
The software also provides a plug-in for Visual Studio, allowing developers to edit icons created for applications/solutions through VS, on the Axialis IconWorkshop workspace.
