Opening TBL files

Did your computer fail to open a TBL file? We explain what TBL files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your TBL files.

What is a TBL file?

Files that contain the .tbl file extension usually hold generic table files. These files are used by a variety of different software applications to store table data.

Popular applications that use the .tbl file extension for table information include the PageMaker, Mozilla, ArcView and Autodesk software programs.

TBL files are commonly used to store data used to customize a gameplayer's gaming experience. These TBL files are referred to as gaming "mods".

The ArcVIEW software application also uses the .tbl file suffix. When the .tbl file extension is used with this program, the file holds support tables that are referenced by the application.
