SCS File - opening and understanding
Did your computer fail to open a SCS file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .SCS files.
What is a SCS file?
Files that contain the .scs file extension are most commonly associated with SimCity computer gaming applications. The SCS files contain saved game files that have been created by the SimCity Societies Destinations or SimCity Societies games.
These two software games allow users to create cities and societies, managing the societies and society members. The SCS files that are used by the programs store the saved game play progress as the user plays the game. This allows the user to stop playing at any time and then resume the game play at the same point in which they left off.
The Lotus ScreenCam software program has also been known to use the .scs file suffix. These SCS files contain script files that are used by the software application.
