What is AFP Workbench?
IBM AFP Workbench Viewer is a free application that will help you print and view AFP documents. It interprets and presents streams of AFP data correctly. You can view and print page segments, medium overlays, overlays and AFP documents on both standalone and plug-in applications on Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, XP, Vista and later operating systems with file extensions such as .afp or .AFP for documents, .psg or .PSG for page segments, .oly or .OLY for medium overlays and overlays.
Other formats supported are .fde or .FDE for form definition, .DOR, .JPG, .jpg, .jfif and .jpeg for JFIF resources, .DOR, .GIF and .gif for GIF resources, .DOR, .TIF, .tif, .TIFF and .tiff for TIFF resources, .240, .300, .OLN, .oln, .Oln and .fnt for CHARSET resources, .fnt for CODEPAGE and .FNT for CODEDFONT. The AFP Workbench Viewer can only print and view AFP documents, overlays, medium overlays and page segments but not to create them.

The Standalone application of IBM AFP Workbench Viewer is ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/printers/products/workbench/windows/service/ipsafpwb.exe.
Added functions in Version 2.06.00.07 for AFP Workbench include ability to process RATS [Resource Access Tables], display of BCOCA [AFP Bar Codes] and mapping of AFP Font is no longer needed for processing AFP Font resources.
