QTL File
What are QTL files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a QTL file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your QTL files.
What is a QTL file?
A .QTL file is a QuickTime Media Link file.
Files that contain the .qtl file extension are text files that store QuickTime movie file links. These QTL files include the location of the associated movie file and the file's QuickTime settings.
Some of the settings within the QTL file may include autoplay settings, controller settings, loop settings, etc.
When you click a QTL link, it will open the associated movie file within the QuickTime media player as long as the Web server is configured with the proper MIME type. The movie files that a QTL file references are located on a Web server, and the files allow a user to download or stream the associated movie to his or her hard drive.
