How to open PAGES files

What is a PAGES file?

Files that contain the .pages file extension are files that have been created by the Apple Pages software. The Apple Pages software application is a word processing and page layout application that was developed by Apple as a part of the iWork productivity suite.

The files with the .pages file extension are based on the XML file format and can contain a variety of word processing files including basic text documents and multi-page brochures.

The Apple Pages software includes more than 140 pre-built Apple Pages templates to assist in the creation of files that are saved with the .pages file extension.
