What are OTS files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an OTS file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your OTS files.
What is an OTS file?
OTS files have multiple uses, and OpenDocument Spreadsheet Template is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
OpenDocument Spreadsheet Template
These files are created with the OpenOffice spreadsheet application. OpenOffice provides users with an XML-based freeware suite of software similar to Microsoft Office.

OpenTimestamps Proof
We know that one OTS format is OpenTimestamps Proof. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested ten different OTS openers which you will find listed below.
Ots Album File
Ots Album Files are a proprietary media container format produced by Ots Studio. They store an entire music album or collection - including multiple tracks or "items" - alongside metadata and non-audio data needed by DJ or music playout software. Typical contents include the audio or video data for each track, artist and track titles, album art, genre, release and copyright information, mix-point information, and optional data chunks such as beat-information or CD+G display graphics. An Ots file preserves high audio quality: it allows lossless conversion from source MP3, MP2 or uncompressed PCM WAV, and retains fidelity when converting back from Ots to supported formats.
Ots Studio is the chief program that creates, edits and uses these files. Users can rip audio CDs or import MP3, WAV, MPEG video, VOB files (unencrypted DVDs) and convert them into a single Ots Album file. Within Ots Studio one can also modify album-level metadata, item-level metadata, mix points, auto beat-mix cues, cover art, and aspects of video content. The Batch Conversion Utility in Ots Studio enables grouping files in a folder into one album file, or creating separate Ots files per track. Exporting back to formats like WAV or MP3 is supported.
Inside, the format uses a chunk-based, extensible structure. Chunks are blocks of data of defined types, global to the album, item default, or specific to individual items. Global chunks cover things like album art or album title. Item default chunks apply to all items unless they are overridden per item. Explicit item chunks hold things like audio or video data for a track, item-specific title or artist. An Ots file can contain up to about 65,000 items.
