Opening ODB files

Did your computer fail to open an ODB file? We explain what ODB files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your ODB files.

What is an ODB file?

The .odb file extension is most commonly associated with the OpenOffice database application. OpenOffice OpenDocument database files contain XML-based database information that can be used across multiple database software programs. This file standard was created as an alternative to traditional office database applications, such as Microsoft Access.

The .odb file extension is also used for ArcView object database ASCII files, ABAQUS files, Abaqus/CAE binary output files, Psion Organizer data files and LZ diary files.
