What is a JOB file?
Files that contain the .job file extension are most commonly associated with the Windows Task Scheduler utility. This Windows utility is used to schedule automated tasks on a user's computer system.
The JOB files that are used by the Task Scheduler contain the name of the task that is to be performed, the triggers for the task and the actions and conditions that are used to run the task.
The MetaCAM software application also uses the .job file extension. These JOB files contain nest job files that are created with the MetaCAM software. The BETA 44 program and the Survey Pro software application also use the .job file suffix for job files that are created with the programs.
Suggest another file format using extension JOB
While we know of one file format using the .JOB file extension, there may be more. It is widespread that different programs use files with the same file extension for very different types of data. Please let us know if you are aware of a different kind of .JOB file.
