Opening JOB files

Did your computer fail to open a JOB file? We explain what JOB files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your JOB files.

What is a JOB file?

Files that contain the .job file extension are most commonly associated with the Windows Task Scheduler utility. This Windows utility is used to schedule automated tasks on a user's computer system.

The JOB files that are used by the Task Scheduler contain the name of the task that is to be performed, the triggers for the task and the actions and conditions that are used to run the task.

The MetaCAM software application also uses the .job file extension. These JOB files contain nest job files that are created with the MetaCAM software. The BETA 44 program and the Survey Pro software application also use the .job file suffix for job files that are created with the programs.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
