What is a FB2 file?
A .FB2 file is a FictionBook 2.0 eBook file.
Files that contain the .fb2 file extension are most commonly associated with FictionBook 2.0 files. The FB2 file format is an XML-based eBook format. In an FB2 file, XML is used to describe each element of the associated eBook. These eBooks can then be read on Windows, Unix, and Pocket PC platforms.
Unlike other eBook formats, the FB2 files consist of a single XML file. Almost all of the ebooks published in the FB2 file format are fictional. This particular eBook format originated in Russia.
