What is an ESS file?
An .ESS file is an Ekahau Site Survey file.
These ESS files contain the Wi-Fi site surveys created in Ekahau Survey, a professional Wi-Fi site survey application. These ESS files are used on iPhone and iPad to give you a optimized and fast user experience. Ekahau also locates access points and saves them to the map so that you can use in you post-survey analysis. You can share your ESS files with other experts for further analysis or reporting.
