What are DWF files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a DWF file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your DWF files.
What is a DWF file?
A .DWF file is an Autodesk Design Web Format file.
DWF is an acronym for Design Web Format or Drawing Web Format. Files that contain the .dwf file extension are computer drawing files that have been created by the AutoCAD and/or Inventor computer-aided drawing software applications.
The DWF files usually contain information about a CAD design including graphics and text.
The DWF file format was developed by Autodesk in order to allow for the easier distribution of design data to users who need to view or print the design files. Files that have been saved in the DWF format are highly compressed, making them easier to download and transmit.
