What is a DDD file?
The .ddd file extension is used for an internal data file format that is implemented by Adobe Systems, Inc. into one of their software product lines. Also called Adobe Distiller files, the DDD file format stores data that is associated with the functions of this software for managing, printing and viewing PDF (Portable Document Format) files. These .ddd files contain code and resources that are used by the Adobe Distiller program to perform some of its embedded functions. These DDD files may also contain metadata details like Adobe Distiller version number, date and time stamps among other pieces of information relevant to this software. A .ddd file is normally associated with the Adobe Distiller program where the DDD file is stored. These DDD files may be activated by the Adobe Distiller software so as to perform an operation that was requested by the user.It is ill advised to open these .ddd files. These may contain important code that can damage the associated Adobe Distiller software in the computer when tampered. There are also no known converters that can export these .ddd files to other more standard data file formats.
