Important: Different programs may use files with the CLC file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CLC file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

While Corel Catalog is a popular type of CLC-file, we know of 2 different uses of the .CLC file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.

Handy Calc Data

Handy Calc Data files save calculations, stored values, or history for the scientific calculator program Handy Calc. They preserve the state or data entered by the user so that calculations and settings can be loaded or resumed later by Handy Calc (a Windows scientific calculator application).

These files are written by Handy Calc (version 1.0) and read only by that program. Handy Calc produces the file when the user chooses to save data such as custom constants, formula definitions, stored variables, or prior calculation history. When Handy Calc opens such a file, it restores those saved data elements into its working memory so calculations can continue.

Files begin with a fixed header string in ASCII: HandyCalcv1.0DataFile (hex bytes 48 61 6E 64 79 20 43 61 6C 63 20 76 31 2E 30 20 44 61 74 61 20 46 69 6C 65 1A) at offset zero.
