Opening CLD files

Did your computer fail to open a CLD file? We explain what CLD files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your CLD files.

What is a CLD file?

Files that contain the .cld file extension are most commonly associated with various Canon Pixma printers. The CD label creation software that is included with these printers allows a user to create custom labels and covers for their CDs and DVDs. The CLD files that are used by this software contain the CD and DVD label templates which allow a user to enter personalized data into pre-set format fields.

The .cld file extension is also used for the debugging and configuration files that are used by the CA Clipper software.

The Clam AntiVirus software also uses the .cld file extension for database files.

The .cld file suffix has also been associated with the layers files used by the TerraGen application.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
