CDR File - opening and understanding
Did your computer fail to open a CDR file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .CDR files.
What is a CDR file?
Files that contain the .cdr file extension most commonly contain computer drawings. These files are drawings that have been created with the popular CorelDRAW computer drawing application, although other Corel applications can also assign the .cdr file extension. CorelDRAW is Corel's computer graphics editor and the CDR computer drawing format is proprietary to that software program.
The .cdr file extension is also given to files that have been created by the Roxio Toast CD software. These CDR files contain raw audio data and they are created when a user "rips" a CD to his or her computer hard drive.
