What are CDPZ files and how to open them

What is a CDPZ file?

A .CDPZ file is a ConceptDraw Project Document file.

ConceptDraw PROJECT document is the native format used by the ConceptDraw PROJECT application from Computer Systems Odessa for structuring complete project plans. It captures project schedules, tasks, milestones, dependencies, resource assignments, deadlines, notes, progress tracking and other metadata. Files in this format are used when creating, saving or sharing full project files within ConceptDraw PROJECT on Windows or macOS, enabling full editing and ongoing management of project details.

ConceptDraw PROJECT document files are generated by the ConceptDraw PROJECT software. They can be uploaded, downloaded, or shared via ConceptDraw PROJECT Server to enable online collaboration, or exchanged between users for project editing, reporting or archiving. They differ from simpler export or template formats in that they preserve the full project structure and most application-specific data. Users may also convert them into the XML variant of the project format (for example to facilitate interoperability), or into reports, diagrams, or spreadsheets via the application's import/export features.

Internally, the format is a zipped container. Its file header begins with the standard PK zip signature at offset zero and includes a file named "CDDocument.xmlUT" at offset 30. The file contains this internal XML document, named CDDOCUMENT.XMLUT, along with other assets and supporting data.

How to open CDPZ files

Important: Different programs may use files with the CDPZ file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CDPZ file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
