Opening BDM files

Did your computer fail to open a BDM file? We explain what BDM files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your BDM files.

What is a BDM file?

Files that contain the .bdm file extension are most commonly associated with AVHCD video recordings.

The BDM files that are used by these AVHCD recordings are disc information files that are created by the AVHCD recording device. The BDM files contain information that pertains to the contents of the recordings in a specific disc directory.

The Pro/ENGINEER software application also uses the .bdm file suffix. This software program uses the .bdm file suffix for the temporary files that are created by the application during a user's operation.

The Blaise computer-aided survey software also uses the .bdm file suffix. These BDM files contain statistic information that is used by the software.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
