What are BDL files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a BDL file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your BDL files.
What is a BDL file?
BDL files have multiple uses, and Grid 2 Bundle is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Grid 2 Bundle
These BDL files contain communication grids used in Grid 2, a communication solution for people with complex communication needs. This is an excellent tool for people with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and learning difficulties. Grid is used to communicate using symbols and develop literacy. You can create and edit your own resources to fit your communication needs.
How to open BDL files
Important: Different programs may use files with the BDL file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your BDL file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested two different BDL openers which you will find listed below.

While Grid 2 Bundle is a popular type of BDL-file, we know of 2 different uses of the .BDL file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
Nintendo GameCube/Wii 3D Model
We know that one BDL format is Nintendo GameCube/Wii 3D Model. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
