What is Premiere Elements?
Premiere Elements is a computer program from Adobe Systems that provides the user with video editing tools. The software may be downloaded as a standalone program, or may be offered as a bundled service for Adobe Photoshop Elements.
When the program is initially launched, the user is provided with two options: organize (through the Organizer app) or edit (through the Video Editor app). The Organizer app is utilized for managing multimedia files. Here, users can add tags, rate a video, or import files from local folders or external devices. The Organizer app provides the user with four general categories that they can use to organize their files; these include Media, and People.
For the Video Editor, users can import files from the Organizer, or from their devices such as camcorders, digital cameras, or Web camera. The editor provides the user with a storyboard, which displays video clips that they are currently working on for a particular project. Users are able to get a preview of their movie project, either in low resolution or high resolution, depending on the user’s preference.
Premiere Elements is compatible with Windows and Mac systems.
