Cakewalk develops computer software for recording and making music. It’s recording studio software solution, Catwalk Home Studio, combines features in an easy-to-use design. The new Home Studio gives the user the same sound quality that is used by producers and engineers. Highlights of the Cakewalk Home Studio include a full-featured SONAR digital audio workstation software, the first integrated recording hardware and software to support Windows Vista (both 32 and 64 bit) and Windows XP. It lets the user record, edit, and mix unlimited audio and MIDI tracks. It can also record more than one take and compile them together. Cakewalk Home Studio lets the user create his own music with their built-in features.
Some of Cakewalk Home Studio’s standard features include: Being able to support .avi, .mpg, .wmv, and .mov files. These videos will be displayed as thumbnails contained within a separate track. Home Studio is compatible with both 5.1 and 7.1 surround formats. This makes it possible to really enhance the user’s audio. It is similar to video editing software applications, since the video output can be previewed on an external monitor.
