Better Homes and Garden Designer or Better Homes and Garden Designer suite is a sole product released by Chief Architect software LTD. The company Chief Architect Software LTD, formally known as Advance Relational Technologies released an improved version of BHGD in 1992 for constructors, companies and homeowners. It was popular in the United States due to its advance 2D and 3D model rendering process.
Better Homes and Garden Designer suite was predesigned to simplify the creation of floor plans and terrain layouts. It was ideal for builders and constructors who cannot create CAD properly. Because it enables them to visualize a 3D layout of floor plans without using complex CAD processes. The Better Home and Garden CAD suite support 3D model trees, buildings, roofs, door details, wall measurements, elevation, gutter positioning and other architectural preference. The software runs in the Windows operating system including its older versions.
The Better Homes and Garden designer software support landscapes and large terrains for a more elaborate visualization. The software was also developed to have a database of finished projects and floor plans. It was intended for quick reference. However, the software cannot generate proper roof and stair designs. Blueprints were not professional enough for architects.
