What are TD files and how to open them

What is a TD file?

TD files have multiple uses, and Teledisk Archive is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

Teledisk Archive File

The .td file extension is used for Teledisk archive files. Teledisk is a shareware disk archiving utility that was released by Sydex and was very popular in the 1990s. The .td files contain archive files that have been created with the Teledisk software.

How to open TD files

Important: Different programs may use files with the TD file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your TD file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

TheDraw Design

We know that one TD format is TheDraw Design. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.

Thunder Partial Download

Thunder is a Chinese download manager that you use to manage download files from the internet to your PC. It appends the TD file extension to the name of files while they are being downloaded. In that way, the application can recognize incomplete downloads if it gets interrupted during download, and you will know you cannot work with the file as it is incomplete.

We have identified one TD opener that is compatible with this specific type of TD file.
