What are STA files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a STA file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your STA files.
What is a STA file?
STA files have multiple uses, and Abaqus Status is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Abaqus Status File
STA stands for "status" and Abaqus stores reports in this file format when the user uses the analysis feature of Abaqus. When the user creates a model using Abaqus, the model, more often than not, is not in perfect shape. Therefore, before development, it will undergo various analyses to reveal what part should be further developed.
After running the analyses, these reports of detection and suggestions are stored in a document with the STA file extension.
