How to open SIM files

Did your computer fail to open a SIM file? We explain what SIM files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your files.

What is a SIM file?

Files that contain the .sim file extension are used by the SAP Tutor software application. The SAP Tutor application is used to record, edit and play computer-aided courses and tutorials.

The SIM files that are used by this program contain screen shots, application instructions and tutorial-related questions that are intended to help a user learn how to operate a specific application. These files are often used to train employees and students on how a specific software program works.

In order to play these SIM files on a user's computer, the user must have the SAP Player installed on their hard drive.
