What is a SIL file?
A .SIL file is a TSILang Translation file.
TSILang is a software localization product used to localize (translate) software products into multiple languages. It extracts text strings from the software source code, and the developer embeds some TSILang-code to replace the standard texts with translated versions based on user choice or detected system language. Translated text strings are stored in a plain-text SIL file, or sometimes in a binary format with file extension SIB.
