SIL File
What are SIL files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a SIL file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your SIL files.
What is a SIL file?
A .SIL file is a TSILang Translation file.
TSILang is a software localization product used to localize (translate) software products into multiple languages. It extracts text strings from the software source code, and the developer embeds some TSILang-code to replace the standard texts with translated versions based on user choice or detected system language. Translated text strings are stored in a plain-text SIL file, or sometimes in a binary format with file extension SIB.
