SDB File - opening and understanding

What is a SDB file?
Files that contain the .sdb file extension usually store Windows registry database files. These files contain registry patch information that make the Windows registry compatible with newer versions of the applications that have been installed on a user's computer. These SDB files can be installed on an individual computer or on an entire network.
The .sdb file extension is also used by the OpenOffice Base database application. When the OpenOffice and StarOffice database programs creates a database file, the database is given the .sdb file suffix. These applications were created as a free alternative to the costly Microsoft Access database software.
