Opening RFL files

Did your computer fail to open a RFL file? We explain what RFL files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your RFL files.

What is a RFL file?

The .rfl file extension is most commonly associated with Reason ReFill Sound Bank files. Reason is a song creation program that provides users with a virtual studio rack and advanced sequencer features. The RFL files often contain samples, song files and patches that are used by the Sound Bank software. These files are compressed to about half of the original size when stored in the RFL file format.

The .rfl file extension is also used for ANSYS files, Guardian database roll-forward files and RISAFloor analysis & design files.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
