How to open REZ files

What is a REZ file?

The .rez file extension is most commonly used by various gaming applications. The REZ files are resource files that contain the contents of the game, such as the textures, music, maps, meshes and other game objects. The REZ files are usually used by first-person shooter games such as Aliens vs. Predator, F.E.A.R., Blood II, The Matrix Online and Tron 2.0. These files can be used to modify existing game content.

The .rez file extension is also used for Resume divider files and Shogo archive files.

These apps are known to open certain types of REZ files. Remember, different programs may use REZ files for different purposes, so you may need to try out a few of them to be able to open your specific file.
