What are REZ files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a REZ file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is a REZ file?
A .REZ file is a LinTech Resource file.
The .rez file extension is most commonly used by various gaming applications, as the files are resource files used by the LinTech Game Engine. The REZ files contain the contents of the game, such as the textures, music, maps, meshes, and other game objects.
The REZ files are usually used by first-person shooter games such as Aliens vs. Predator, F.E.A.R., Blood II, The Matrix Online, and Tron. Tech-savvy users can use these files to modify existing game content.
