What are REM files and how to open them

What is a REM file?
A .REM file is a BlackBerry Encrypted REM format file.
Files containing the .rem file extension are usually encrypted files stored on a BlackBerry mobile device. The REM files may contain several file types and typically include the original file extension before the .rem extension. For example, a JPEG image saved as a BlackBerry encrypted file may appear as filename.jpg.rem.
How to open REM files
Important: Different programs may use files with the REM file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your REM file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
