How to open RBF files

Did your computer fail to open a RBF file? We explain what RBF files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your files.

What is a RBF file?

RBF is an acronym for Roll Back File. Files that contain the .rbf file extension usually contain rollback files that are used when performing a system rollback.

The RBF files that are located on a user's computer contain rollback backup data that is created using the Retrospect backup application. These files contain the actual files and folders that have been backed up when a user runs the Retrospect software for backup purposes.

These RBF files allow the files and folders that are stored on a computer to be restored to the way they were at a previous point in time if a loss of data or file corruption occurs.
