What is a R02 file?
Files that contain the .r02 file extension hold a single volume of a split archive file. When a file archiving application is used to compress a batch of files, the archive file can be split into smaller volumes in order to make it easier to transmit the file archive over the Web.
The volumes that are created from the split archive are each given their own file extension, from .r00 to .r99. The .r02 file extension is given to the third volume of the split archive file. In order to extract the contents from the file archive, all volumes of the archive must be present.
