What is a PR4 file?
A .PR4 file is a Harvard Graphics Presentation file.
Harvard Graphics Presentation (.pr4) is a file format used to store full slideshow presentations including text, charts, graphs, and embedded images. It was written by the program Harvard Graphics (version 4), a graphics and presentation-authoring program from the early 1990s. These presentations were often prepared for printing or display on DOS or early Windows systems.
These files are created and saved by Harvard Graphics; users can edit slides featuring a mix of drawn graphics, chart data, and text. Once complete, a .pr4 file might be printed to a slide printer or color plotter, shown on screen, or passed to another user who has compatible software. Over time, this format has become obsolete, so modern systems usually can't open it without legacy software.
This format uses a Microsoft Compound (OLE2 / CFBF) structured-storage container. It begins with the signature bytes D0 CF 11 E0 A1 B1 1A E1 00 at offset 0 and includes internal streams such as "Root Entry", "Contents", "SummaryInformation", and "HgwPrsData."
