What is a PEA file?
A .PEA file is a PEA compressed archive file.
PEA (.pea file extension) is an acronym for Pack, Encrypt, and Authenticate. It is basically a format similar to ZIP-file, but more advanced.
It is a file format focused on data security, aiming to provide archiving, compression, and multi-volume file-splitting (spanning) features in a single passage, along with flexible schemes of optional integrity check and authenticated encryption (AES in EAX or HMAC mode, alternatively Twofish and Serpent in EAX mode).
The PEA file format specifications are released under public domain.
