NRI File - opening and understanding

What is a NRI file?
Files that contain the .nri file extension are commonly associated with the Nero ISO CD burning software. The Nero software application is used back up and burn computer files and data to CD discs.
The NRI files that are used by the Nero software contain a compilation of files that a user selects when choosing which files they want to have burned to a CD-ROM.
The NRI file does not contain the actual media files that will be burned to the user's CD. These files only contain an index of the files that the user has selected, including the locations of the files and the names of the files. The application then references the NRI file when burning the CD.
