What are NRA files and how to open them

Are you having problems opening a NRA file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.

What is a NRA file?

A .NRA file is a Nero Audio-CD Compilation file.

Files that contain the .nra file extension are most commonly associated with the Nero disc burning software application. The Nero software is an optical disc authoring application. Germany's Nero AG initially created it for use with Microsoft Windows. However, versions are now available for the Linux operating system as well.

The NRA files used by this software contain a list of the audio files that the Nero program has compiled. The NRA files do not contain any actual audio files. Instead, these files only contain an index or "playlist" of the audio files that can be burned to the CD using the associated software application.
