What is a NBIB file?

A .NBIB file is a PubMed Bibliographic Citation Info file.

The .nbib file format is proprietary and a document file type that can be found in files used in the citation manager service developed by the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

The .nbib file contains citations from books. Doing research directly in PubMed (a free search engine accessing the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics primarily), the user, after marking all the records needed, is prompted to send the marked records to Citation Manager for profiling and authorization.
