What is a MPD file?
MPD files have multiple uses, and Microsoft Project Database is one of them.
Microsoft Project Database
The MPD files that are used by Microsoft Project are database files similar to Microsoft Access database files. You can use the MPD files to load a project in a records-based database format. Only older versions of Microsoft Project used this format.
