Opening JC files

Did your computer fail to open a JC file? We explain what JC files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your JC files.

What is a JC file?

Files that contain the .jc file extension are most commonly associated with partially downloaded computer files. When a user downloads a file from the Internet using the FlashGet download management software, the .jc file extension is sometimes given to the file while the download process is being performed.

When the FlashGet application has completed the download the .jc file extension is removed and the proper file extension is put in its place. For example, if a user is downloading a .mov file, the file will be named filename.jc during the download and will be renamed once the download has finished.

Sometimes the .jc! file suffix is used instead of the .jc file extension.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
