Files that contain the .jc file extension are most commonly associated with partially downloaded computer files. When a user downloads a file from the Internet using the FlashGet download management software, the .jc file extension is sometimes given to the file while the download process is being performed.
When the FlashGet application has completed the download the .jc file extension is removed and the proper file extension is put in its place. For example, if a user is downloading a .mov file, the file will be named filename.jc during the download and will be renamed filename.mov once the download has finished.
Sometimes the .jc! file suffix is used instead of the .jc file extension.
