What is an INDD file?
An .INDD file is an InDesign Document file.
INDD is an acronym for In Design Document, and these documents are created with the Adobe InDesign desktop publishing software application. The InDesign software is used for the professional layout of newspapers, magazines, books, brochures, and other printed materials.
Adobe created the INDD file format for its InDesign CS2 software application and was intended to be a competitor to Quark Express. Adobe InDesign files contain advanced typography, graphics, page content, formatting information, and other layout-related options required for desktop publishing projects. Files created in the INDD file format can also be exported into PDF file format.
