EML File
What are EML files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an EML file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your EML files.
What is an EML file?
An .EML file is an E-Mail Message file.
Files that contain the .eml file extension are email files that have usually been sent or received by a POP3 email application. These files are commonly associated with the Outlook Express software, which is a POP3 email application that Microsoft distributes. In some cases, however, EML files can also be created by other email clients.
The EML files contain the contents of an email message, and they may also include attachments that the sender sent with the original email message. In addition, EML files can also contain hyperlinks and linked attachments.
EML files are generally stored in plain text format.
