Important: Different programs may use files with the CWK file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CWK file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

While CattleMax Data File is a popular type of CWK-file, we know of 3 different uses of the .CWK file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.

CG-Prevue Diagram

We know that one CWK format is CG-Prevue Diagram. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.

ClarisWorks Document

Files containing the .cwk file extension are most commonly associated with the ClarisWorks or AppleWorks productivity suite used for Apple computers. The CWK files may contain word processing documents, drawings, presentations, or spreadsheets that these software programs have created. Apple bought out Claris in 1998.
