What is a CWG file?

A .CWG file is an Artworx Drawing file.

Artworx Drawing is a native vector-graphics document format created and used by the ArtWorx illustration program, developed for Atari ST and related systems. It captures drawings made with lines, curves, text, shapes and other vector objects, optionally combined with raster images, allowing full scaling and edits within ArtWorx. The format is used when composing illustrations, layouts or page-graphics projects that require design flexibility and multi-object composition.

ArtWorx writes and reads its own Drawing files. These files serve as the working documents where users build their graphic art: drawing objects can be grouped into layers, transformed, rotated, filled, used as masks, and text objects can use scalable font technologies via GDOS/NVDI. The software supports embedding bitmap images, exporting to formats like EPS, exporting selected objects, exporting in Calamus CVG and GEM Metafile formats alongside CWG.

How to open CWG files

Important: Different programs may use files with the CWG file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your CWG file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
