CUR File
What are CUR files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a CUR file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your CUR files.
What is a CUR file?
A .CUR file is a Windows Mouse Cursor file.
Files that contain the .cur file extension are cursor image files. These files store the default cursor graphics and the custom cursor graphics for the Windows operating system, such as the Windows mouse pointer.
When a user installs a custom desktop theme onto his or her computer, a corresponding CUR file is usually included in the installation pack so that the Windows cursor will match the custom desktop theme. For example, if a user downloads a horse-based custom desktop theme, the CUR file may contain the cursor image of a horse or a horseshoe to match the theme download.
