What is a CPI file?
Files that contain the .cpi file extension are most frequently associated with the AVCHD high-def digital video camera recorder file format. This file format allows for digital video recording at 1080i and 720p signals.
The CPI file format was created through a joint effort by Panasonic and Sony. CPI files contain metadata that describes the video clip, such as the video's frame rate, aspect ratio and other video information.
The .cpi file extension is also used by the Colorlab software program. This software program uses the .cpi file extension for picture images that have been formatted within the software application.
