Clip Studio Paint Page file
Clip Studio Paint is a Japanese drawing program mainly used by illustrators, manga artists, and animation studios. It saves pages (images) in files using the CLIP file extension. In earlier versions of the software, the LIP file extension was used instead. Older versions of the software cannot open CLIP files.

While Clip Studio Paint Page file is a popular type of CLIP-file, we know of 2 different uses of the .CLIP file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.

We know that one CLIP format is DCTV Paint Clip. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
