BHX File - opening and understanding
Did your computer fail to open a BHX file? We explain what they are used for and recommend software that we know can open or otherwise handle your .BHX files.
What is a BHX file?
A .BHX file is a BinHex encoded file. BinHex is short for "binary-to-hexadecimal" and was once a common format to convert a file from its binary form to an ASCII text file. BinHex'ed files take up more space than the original files but are less likely to be corrupted when transferred between different computer systems.
The files need to be decoded back to their original format before they can be used by the receiver.
How to open BHX files
You will need a program compatible with the specific file you are trying to open, as different programs may use files with file extension BHX for different purposes. We have identified 1 BHX opener for Windows that is compatible with this specific type of BHX file.
