What is an AFS file?
Files that contain the .afs file extension are most commonly associated with project files that have been created by the STAAD.foundation CAD software application.
The STAAD.foundation CAD software is used to create and study construction foundations, including details about the foundation components and the physical properties of the foundation structure. Components that this software helps engineers study include concrete slabs and soils.
The Adobe Type Manager is also known to use the .afs file suffix. These files contain font set files that are used within the Adobe Type Manager application.
The Sega Dreamcast gaming console games also use the .afs file extension for compressed audio files that are used in Dreamcast video games.
